She was left behind to fend for herself in a trailer park by the previous owners. A neighbor living in the park kept putting out food for her and whenever I would walk by the poor thing would come to me as if saying, please give me a home. so the lady told me what happened to her and suggested I take her as she didnt want any cats and the poor thing was freezing out in the cold. I took her for a complete check up which was good and she has adjusted well to her new home. the lady said she has been calling her Pep or Peps. I was just wondering if that name has some sort of meaning to it.

Not sure, but maybe she named her Pep, meaning that the cat had a lot of spunk and energy to survive out in the cold.

Pep/peps was just something the lady came up with. You as her new owner, are free to change her name.Cats unlike dogs are not fond of names, kitty would suffice.

I wonder if it's short for Pepsi? That's not a bad name for a cat.

Take her in and get her spayed, if she isn't--she'll go into heat and want to get out, otherwise; and that's the way a lot of cats get lost.

Good on you for taking her in. She's probably pretty grateful.

Ask her if it has any special meaning.I want to applaude you for adopting the little kitty!I have 2 inside cats myself, Plus 6 outside that think I am their momma.I keep them fed and make sure they are alright. Cats are super companions!

Sounds like it's short for "Peppy" (sort of like spunky or energetic)

Change the name if you want. Just call her new name when you are getting ready to feed her - she'll learn it quick!!!
