Has your dad ever liked any of your boyfriends (or those of any siblings...)? If not, then he is probably afraid of losing his role as the primary male influence in your life, and is against the prospect that you have a boyfriend at all.
Ask him what he doesn't like about your boyfriend, and tell him to be specific and defend his reasoning, if he has any. Perhaps he doesn't know him well enough, but he also might have objectively picked up on some part of his behavior that you haven't.
If all that doesn't work, you can always tell your dad that if he doesn't like your boyfriend, he's welcome to find one for himself!

talk to your dad and find out why he doesnt like him, reassure your dad that know one can ever have the type of relationship you and he does and dont push to hard or your dad will see right through what you are trying to do gradually let them spend more time together and they will work through the problem themselves, when you try to be the liason between the two it will only cause them to be even more distant
