a joke is usually a story, an explanation of a situation where an unexpected outcome or play on words makes it humorous.

a riddle, though it can be humorous, using plays on words or other things is a mystery- it is a question, something to get you thinking and solve- a riddle is more interactive as the person asked would have to figure out the punch line or solve what seems unsolvable

jokes make you laugh and are something that dont ask questions.riddles are like questions for exampe"What is red and green and goes 30 miles per hour?"A joke is like"There were 3 guys who knew a dog.blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.And the dog was a woman!Ha ha ha ha ha.
