gotta be cheese mine is always moldy if kept longer than a week in the fridge forgot about bread as well

Depends on the fungus and depends on the food. Some foods are too acidic for some fungi. Others are too dry. Different species of fungi prefer certain conditions. Temperature would also affect the whole equation...
