Apparently so. I read the other day somewhere though that the 'serving of 'retro' dishes such as prawn cocktail is now becoming quite popular.' (The mind boggles!!) I reckon you should serve what ever you like and think your guests will enjoy.

No it is not old fashioned to serve prawn cocktail for a starter,especially if you make it yourself.

confident, I do. And mine are not farmed, they're caught. From the fishing boat to my plate interior an hour if i choose. Ah, yet then i'm fortunate, via fact I come from the Northwest of Scotland the place the seas are not fished to dying and prawns and lobster are ample. you may shove your king prawns the place the sunlight do no longer shine. no i don't think so i really enjoy a prawn cocktail or a fruit cocktail also as i think soup is really filling and don't enjoy your main course as you are too full up

No, its fantastic served with thinly sliced brown bread and butter, a wedge of lemon and a sprinkle of red pepper, try serving it in half an avodado even more retro and delish.
