I just got my wisdom teeth out on thursday. How long does it take for the stiches to disolve? And since I've got them out i've been having dissy spells, is that normal? I feel like my eyes are going cross eyed! The only thing i'm on is antibiotic to prevent infection.

Stitches dissolve In a round 2 - 3 days depending on type. Dizzy spells...could well be a reaction to the drugs used during surgery or if you Had heavy blood loss that could be responsible. Feeling cross eyes, is normal. Its due to the nerves in being close to the root of the tooth and being affected by the removal, its should pass. To reassure yourself you should phone the dentist and talk to him.

When i had my wisdom teeth out it only took the stitches a couple days....about a week and half at the most. They'll dissolve before you know it. As for the dizziness, I'm not sure about that. I don't remember having it but if it doesn't wear off in a couple days, you should call your doctor for sure!
Hope this helps and Good Luck!!

Call your dentist ASAP and ask if this is normal. The other thing I can suggest is, are you eating enough? You may just be low on calories. I know it probably hurts but you still need to eat. Try some cold drinks, popsicles, soup, yogurt, oatmeal, that kind of thing until your gums are healed a little.

Hope you feel better soon.

It took me almost a week to be completely recovered. It is good that you are not having pain, but if you feel uneasy you shoul call your doctor. Also, as somebody said, try to eat better so that you don't feel week. The dizziness could be from the anesthesia.
