Left supraclavicular lymph node is famously known as Virchow's Node. The reason one can get this lymph node enlargement is because the lymphatic drainage from the stomach drains to this site. Remember, the lymphatic system is akin to the blood circulation, except it role is to drain from various areas of the body. When the Virchow's Node is enlarged in a patient with gastric cancer, this maybe a sign of metastatic disease.
