Rinse with warm salt water this will help with soarness and pain. And take some pain killers that does not contain aspirin. Aspirin will make you bleed but remeber this is only a temporary solution

In layman's term, when your gum bleeds because your gums were either infected or inflamed, and not related to how the dentist cleaned your teeth. But sometimes, your dentist or hygienist can be a little rough with the cleaning thus result in the bleeding. It is very difficult to determine why your gums are bleeding. A typical cleaning is a process to remove plaque and staining. Just imagine plaque is like butter. You don't need much pressure to remove plaques. On other hand, it you have not had your teeth clean for a while (like several years), you may have developed tartar on your teeth that required heavy hand work or the use of a machine that we call a cavitron (water spray pick). This cavitron vibrate and knocks the tartar off, which sometimes may cause some bleeding. The key thing that you want to watch out is that if your gums bleed while brush and flossing, then you may have either gingivitis (acute gum infection) or early bone loss such as gum disease (periodontitis). You should consult with your dentist or a gum specialist for further information. Good Luck.

I'm sorry you're in pain. I have had 2 C-sections and other surgeries but I think my wisdom teeth hurt the worst, so I know what you're going through.

Take some ibuprofen instead of the Loratabs and eat popsicles. I did that with my wisdom teeth and it helped a bit. You could also try an ice pack or heating pad on the outside of the area. Call the dentist and see if they have any other suggestions for you until your appt.

I hope you feel better soon.

uve probably got 'dry socket' which is a light infection of the healing sockets. the usual thing is to dress the socket with antiseptic,or take antibiotic tablets;you may find that holding warm water in the area helps a bit, but you probably need to see ur dentist about it.
