Why do the scriptures say the two groups would become the NEW NATION-SPIRITUAL ISREAL??

The Jews and Gentiles did unite!!!! Over 2000 years ago to form Christianity.

Gentiles are crafted into the family of God. Jews are God's chosen people. All they need to do is believe upon the name of Jesus... and be saved. When the Jews turned their backs on God, that is when God opened the door for the Gentiles to come unto Him. That's when Gentiles began getting crafted into His family.
The Tribulation/Great Tribulation is a two fold event. First, Satan will send his son, the Antichrist, out into both the land and sea (land = Israel; sea means Gentile world). Where he will deceive many claiming he is the long awaited messiah.
Second, the Jews have this time to come unto Jesus and come back into the fold where they rightfully should be. Gentiles alive during this time will also come to know Jesus as the true Messiah.
Once in Christ there are no more Jews or Gentiles (Greek), no more male nor female, no more free or bond slaves...

Because Christians made them up. They were rather anxious to convert people away from Judaism. One of the ways they did that was to put forward the myth that Christianity superceded Judaism and was the fulfillment of Jewish prophecies.
Would you consider joining a group that took your sacred texts and turned them into something different?

um ... not "Peoples of the world UNITE"? you seem to have a need to be exclusive and to do so you're seeking to align yourself with a People you see as being powerfully elite. you seek to "UNITE" not to include but to exclude.
"UNITE" and then what? be against and begin persecuting those not "UNITED" in your new National Spiritual Israel? begin the mission to righteously rid the world of unbelievers or at the very least marginalize them? ... "them" being the "enemies of god" and all that.
ya gotta have a "them" to "UNITE" against. right? nothing unites a group of people better and faster than a common enemy and in a theocracy anyone not of the religion in power is an enemy. that "us versus them" mentality is why humanity is forever in conflict, forever warring, why we are are forever at odds against ourselves.
grow up ... mature people don't need to be a part of a clique to have self esteem
