It's a Bar/Club, which can hold about 500 people in it. It seems that everyone is smoking. I maintain a somewhat healthy lifestyle, but I often hear the second hand smoke is worse that first hand. With the large amount of smoke in the air what damage is this doing to my lungs? Keep in mind I only work there Friday and Saturday, for five hours.

I am a transcriptionist for 4 ENT doctors. They always ask patients if there is secondhand smoke exposure in their history. It is a contributing factor to allergies, sinusitis, sore throat, shortness of breath, etc., even if the patient is a nonsmoker. I have been exposed to smokers (dad, 1st and 2nd husbands, kids, friends) throughout my life, although have never smoked myself. I will probably be the only one to die of lung or throat cancer :{ If you are young and maintain a healthy lifestyle, you better get out of that environment.

If you have serious concerns, quit your job and find a more healthy place to work. It's not just the second hand smoke, it's all the drinking and partying that could be an issue for you also. If you say you maintain a healthy lifestyle, then what are you doing working there? I don't get it.

ive known 2 people personally who have died from lung cancer that did not smoke but worked and lived with smokers ... ive seen pets die and many kids with "asthma" using inhalers and there stupid parents cant figure out its because they smoke around them ... make ur own decisions but i think the evidence points to a very bad situation ...

the only way that's many times valuable, is that if the greens are inhaled with the aggregate of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, methane, and hydrogen sulfide vacationing for the duration of the tummy and exiting from the anus hollow. Now lay down whilst I end this bowl of uncooked greens.

Very screwed. I'm sure the tips are great, but your health is your wealth.
