My best friend just broke up with her boyfriend. Everyone thinks we should go out together even she does. however he does not want to except the fact that she does notwant to go with him. I like himvery much but i do not want to ask him out i believe inold fashion. he would also be my first boyfriend. please help me

You can't make someone like you, he has to get over her, so you need to be patient, I am sure if people are telling you that you two need to go out, they just might be telling him the same thing, so wait.

Why would you want to date your BFF's ex, especially if he still is "crazy" about her? I understand she thinks it's a good idea but you already know that things aren't over between them in his mind. Won't you worry that he will always wish your BFF was by his side still? I don't think you'll be as happy as you think you'd be taking her place. If you are truly old fashioned, you will want to wait to be asked out first. Then at least you'll know it's coming from his heart and not from the suggestions of others.

I am afraid there is not much you can do. He needs time to get over the relationship and does not need to be hounded by you. It s his life; you two butt out.

no, it sounds like he doesn't like you and if he isn't over your best friend, chances are he will only use you to get back with her.
