But how can I be sure that he'd do so, when he told about Nicodemus' secret visit to him?

Because a literal reading of Holy Scripture leads to all kinds of philosophical dilemmas. This is why we must keep in mind the Gospels were written years after the Resurrection. This is a story about how some Jews wanted to follow the budding Christian path but were afraid to shake off the Law completely.

Well, when you actually confess Jesus Christ your Lord & Savior (toward Gods loving presence) and believe in your heart (God looks at your heart) that Jesus shed His own blood for the remission of your sins and raised from the dead for your justification. You will be saved.

At that moment His redeeming blood washes away your sins into the sea of forgetfulness. Jesus won't bring them up again. The devil will, but you need to know who the new man in Christ that you have become.

Trusting Jesus is a must. It is written that without faith, it is impossible to please God, for whoever comes to God must believe that God Is, and God is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.

But, when you sin after born again experience, you need to confess your sin & He Is faithful & just to forgive you your sin and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

I don't know about what was said to Nicodemus. But yes the secrets will get revealed eventually. But not the sins committed that were washed away in His redeeming blood. One is made the righteousness of Christ when born of God. The devil will accuse you of your past, and add to and falsely accuse you. It doesn't matter what the devil thinks of you, or if anyone believes the devil. What matters is what God thinks of you.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

You can trust Jesus with your life here on earth as well as the eternal life He would like to give you for free, just for accepting Him as your personal Savior.

Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

If you are to be Jesus' friend, you need to realize his wisdom far outweights yours and you were made to worship him. We are to be submissive to him, not judgmental.

Change your thinking, and maybe you will realize you need him. Nicodemus benefited from what Jesus did.
