Yes and no.
1. Yes they are serving transnational companies' interests.
2. All transnationals are American, they just declare themselves transnational to skip some taxes. (Tax cuts may stop that.)
3. Transnationals make most of their business in the USA so they inevitably benefit America increasing wealth. So in the end transnationals' interest and American interests are the same.
Must be blind not to see it. American government isn't.
