Through FAITH!!! We know that the times ahead are going to be extremely rough. That's why the Bible tells us many will fall away from sound doctrine. Don't get caught up in the New Age movement, the Scientology religion, the Muslim religion, or any off the wall religions. Stay with the doctrine that is sound... God's Holy Bible.
Its tough being a Christian, no doubt about that. But, in the end... we know we have VICTORY in Christ Jesus.
Don't let peer pressure get to you. Satan will use any thing and any one to throw you a curve ball. Let them think that your kindness makes you weak, you know better. God knows your heart.. and you are building treasures in heaven where moth and rust can't touch them.
Rebuke those that curse you, rebuke those that try to steal your joy. What does Luke tell us... Luke 10:19 "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
The world is being filled daily with evil, those in Christ Jesus will prevail in the end. :o)
Remember, where you tred God is with you always. He will never leave nor forsake you. Jesus tells us, we will be persecuted in His name. When we are weak, He is strong. Cling to your first love, Jesus.
As a Christian, we are looked down upon by those that reject Him. We are critically watched by our fellow Christian... but God is the one who knows us inside and out. Keep your FAITH strong. :o) We have the VICTORY through Christ Jesus.

You sound like me- I used to ask this question so often when I was younger, and I still find myself asking it at times. I know what you mean when you say the old you rises up. I am struggling now with an incident that happened to me where I had a very human reaction to someone's unfairness to me, and this person goes to my church. Did this person do what Jesus would do? No. Did I have a choice to react as Jesus would? Absolutely. And yet in this, I failed. I have spoken to people in my church, the pastors included, who have been studying the word and living it for a very long time. They assure me that it is never easy, but the closer you become to Christ, the more you will learn to listen to the spirit instead of the old you. The voice of righteousness will be louder than the voice telling you to get even. People will take advantage of your kindness and even mock your faith, and your flesh will want to rise up in the moment and tell them how unjust and wrong they are because of the immediate human satisfaction. I understand it all too well. I encourage you in your walk with Jesus. Just know that there are many of us fighting the good fight right along with you- all at different levels of understanding, but all in the same boat.

I understand how you feel. It's so easy to react when someone does something to us. I'm also learning how to deal with lashing out and gossip, etc. I've learned that I am in control and no one can make me do or say anything that I don't want to. What I do is take a deep breath and try to think about what I'm going to say or do. Sometimes, you can also choose to walk away when someone is giving you a hard time and not say anything. I've excused myself from a conversation, and walked out of a group. Another way is to write in a journal about your frustrations and daily experiences. Take it out on paper and then you'll feel better without having harmed anyone. You can always go back and see that the little things that got to us today do not matter tomorrow. Remember that Jesus was kind to others no matter how they lashed out at him. We are to set the example for others so they will know that Jesus is working in our lives. There's an old saying, Silence can be misinterpreted but never misquoted. It's a daily battle, but you can do it. Onward Christian Soliders... Peace

We live in an imperfect world but remember it will not always be this way. Look how God's chosen people have suffered. But they still believe in God. Only some believe in Jesus. God still loves those who only believe in him. God only ask that you do the best that you can. If he was looking for perfection then he would have given up on me a long time ago. You just keep on believing even more. Let the fact that others try so hard to destroy your faith reinforce it.

Aw, I know what you're going through. It's like you want to change and become a better person but there are others that bring you down then you feel that anger swelling inside. I know what it's like to feel used and all. Remember the world isn't completely evil.:) Know what I do? I talk to Him in my head. Try to hear His voice, then I try to imagine what His answer would be like. Bear it one person at a time, Jesus doesn't expect you to be perfect and He loves you for trying. I still am!:) I just try to hold it in, even if I'm being used already. Coz eventually they'll feel sorry somehow and through your kindness people will begin to see and people will change. Don't forget to show love to everyone. Trust me, if you wanna piss off someone who hates you, it's to show them love!:D In that they see Jesus in you! Just keep it up and hang in there! Jesus will catch you every time you stumble!:)

To this you were called. Is not God your Father and is not He the God of providence so that all things that come to you come from His hand of love. Did He not teach us to count-it all joy when we are afflicted? Did Jesus not say that if we are hated we are to remember that He was hated first? Rather we are to rejoice that we have been called out of the world and that we don't "fit in". What you are experiencing is one of the clearest testimonies that your faith is a true faith from God and not an imagined one in your mind that so many people have this day. Rejoice highly favored one Christ has counted you worthy to suffer for Him

i've been a christian for many years, and being brought up as a head strong,"don't mess with me" kind of girl, i know exactly what your talking about, because i still struggle with this myself. i try to remember the scripture in LUKE 6:27-36."Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons (daughters) of the most high, because he is kind to the UNGRATEFUL and WICKED.
i also always try to remember not to long ago i was the one on the other end. just know that when people persecute you and make fun and take advantage of you' what they're really saying is, 'please don't give in to this, please be real, i've seen alot of hypocrites in my time. i need to know if this thing is real.'

Know that to follow Jesus, You must not fall into the crowd of Hyprocrites. It is the Hyprocrites that cause the path to Jesus to be sooo Hard.
Love Yourself for your life which exists. For who You are. And by loving yourself, you love Jesus. God KNOWS that You have alot of Faith in His Love. And to do this, You need not go to church nor follow the Hyprocrites for they do so in crowds and aloud.
Read this story, please. It shows an example of the difference between the Hyrprocrites that follow abroad without question , instead of those whom KNOW there Father God Loves them.
A Lord owned a large beautifull land, which had many people living on it whom He loved. One day, the Lord decides to take a journey away from his land. He leaves no body in charge , because every body on the land are his children, both daughters and sons. As time goes by, some of the people begin to lose faith and fear, so much in fact, that they begin to believe that if they do not do certain things, they will be punished when there Father, the Lord, returns.
They give themselves the title of Leader, and begin to preach to others in the land, there belief s, and warn everyone that if they do not do as the Leader says , then there Father, the Lord, shall punish them when He returns.
Some begin to follow the Leader, and others decide not to, for they know How much there Father, the Lord truely loves them.
Yet the Leader and his followers, decide to banish those whom do not follow him, and throw others out of the land.
One day, the Lord of the land, there Father, finally Returns. And when He does, He notices that many of his children were not there.
Asking around , He finds out what happened, and therefore, brings forth to Him, the leader and all the leaders followers.
And the Lord, there Father, asks them ," You sent forth some of my children from there Home here in my land . Why did you do this?"
The leader and his followers answered," We did this for You, showing our love to you we did so in your name too , to cleanse your land my lord father."
With this, the Lord, Father got Very angery, " You did NOTHING for ME ! You have sent forth MY CHILDREN into Darkness and what s worse is You did so In my NAME !! For this YOU shall recieve the SAME punishment you gave those you judged."
And with that said, He banished the leader and all his followers , and threw them out of his land into darkness

The answer is, "by faith." Faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word of God. Now that you have received Christ and the earnest of the Holy Spirit, He will draw you to Himself, lead you in the ways of righteousness and it is His work, not yours. We are like children who must be nurtured, and that nurturing is a process. First we drink milk, then cereal, then meat. Don't be discouraged when you fail to be holy and pure, but realize that your loving Father is performing a work in you that He will finish. Paul dealt with this in Romans chapter 7. Just keep drinking the pure milk of the word, and as you are ready He will upgrade your diet. You seem impatient, but patience is the fruit of the spirit, and it will grow. Faith means believing His promises, and He promises never to leave you or forsake you. Our goodness is by proxy, applied to our account by the grace of God, not our own striving to be like Him. We strive to be like Him because we want to be, because we know He is good, not in order to actually "be" good. He gave us that desire. As you grow in knowledge and love for God, your joy and peace will increase. Just trust Him.

The word of God is our instrustion booklet of life before we leave this earth. It is filled with everthing we need to know about how to survive this world. In order to know what it says, we must read it daily.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
To rightly divide- Means to fully understand what God is saying to you and not trying to asume on your own what you might think He means. Ask God to open up His word to you when you read, and if you are sincere in wanting to understand what He is telling you, He will open it up to you as He sees where you are in your spiritual walk with Him.
God is not going to open the entire Bible up to you all at once. He will give you only what you are ready for and what you can apply to your present life's experiences. But as for your cursing, this Bible search engine is priceless when you are studying God's word. http://www.htmlbible.com/kjv30/index2.htm
Just type in a search word that you are needing to find scriptures for and it will give you every scripture that pertains to that word. For example the word guile is what is used in the Bible for cussing.
Psalms 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
This is one of the scriptures that the search enging gave that pertains to that topic.Click onto that scripture and this is what you can get in additon to that scripture...
Psalms 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
Here is another scripture that will help you realize how important it is for you to not talk with an unrighteious tongue...
Psalms 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
satan is messing with you but dont' let him get away with that. You will have to give up your old friends if they do not walk the same Christian path you are trying to stay on. God says so..
2 Thessalonians 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
We cannot be around those who do not follow the word of God. that is called being not yolked equally..
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
Yes, following and obeying God is hard work and is basically a 24 hour 7 day a week effort. Don't give up! Feel free to write me at praywithcarol1958@yahoo.com if you need to talk further. I am more that happy to help you anytime.
God bless you
