I understand that the UK govt has refused on behalf of the british serviceman to accept this payment whereas all other nations employed by the UN get this bounty. If this is the case it must be cheaper to send the Brits into conflicts everytime.A very noble stance - but do the politicians refuse to accept european perks?

The British Army are well paid professionals and do get overseas allowance many others are conscripts who get little if anything and bountys paid to to troops at least give them some comforts
