temporary? Maybe some people's situation was never meant to improve. Maybe God just doesn't like some people, as evidenced by how his other creatures react to that person.

If some of you people had to go through life in my outer shell for the past 10-15 years, you would have concluded a long time ago that I am doomed. Living life as me, even for one day, and seeing how I am treated/reacted to by others would change your perspectives in a HURRY!

Because any problem is temporary because it is the way we think that can create or solve a problem, and make it big or small. Most teenage suicides are girls or boys who believe that they will never have a future, or are unloved... and it's a temporary problem... it will go away. But they get so depressed about it... and believe there is no way out and that it will never go away. They try to take fate into their own hands. Most problems will go away or be solved with time.... and suicide is not the proper solution.

I think some people's problems ARE permanent, but their RESPONSE to the problem can be changed through an attitude change. Like people lose a leg in an accident - for a sports/outdoors person, that is devastating. But after the initial shock wears off, they can do wheelchair basketball, many parks & trails are accessible, you can use a pontoon boat and wheel onto it, get a prosthetic leg, etc. So it would be terrible if someone committed suicide during the grieving process (grieving the lost leg).

In the same way, if you are having problems in your relationships with others, you can improve those relationships through counselling. There are groups like toastmasters, where you can learn confidence in speaking to others. Communication skills are usually what is lacking, and they can be improved.

Also, don't underestimate the ability of depression to "warp" your thinking and see everything as the glass half empty. When I am depressed, I think everyone hates me and is talking behind my back. That is absolutely not the case!! I am well-liked by others. When I'm really, really down, I have to remind myself constantly that it is my depression talking to me, that it isn't true.

All the best to you, you can deal with this! Having relationship problems is not the same as having terminal cancer. You can learn the skills.

In case you don't think that YOU can learn, my social skills were so bad my teachers thought I was mentally retarded and actually I ended up being a big time scholarship winner and went on to graduate school for physics (until bipolar disorder derailed me). What I did was join theater and debate and speech clubs and learned to fake it, and it worked great!!!

PS some of the people's answers on here are pretty cruel, and simplistic, assuming that you are the person you are referring to. But since you can ASK this question, you do owe it to your loved ones to improve your situation. You are a candidate for depression treatment, too. I would really recommend that!!!

PPS Read your additional comments-if your life has been that bad, that is probably depression talking, and depression can make your life tank because you don't interact with others normally, and you may make poor life decisions. Counselling and pills, you really really need that. And don't forget - you are obviously, I mean OBVIOUSLY looking at your life through the lens of depression, and depression makes anyone's life look like sh*t. Even people with lovely lives and accomplishments and all the friends in the world see ashes all around them when they are depressed. That's what depression is!!

Everything improves in time. For anyone who believes God doesn't like us is not a believer in God because he loves each and everyone of us and would never give us anything we could not handle. We all have trials to go through and to commit suicide is the chicken way out. It devastes the ones we leave behind. Suicide is not worth taking our life over a problem that can always be resolved. Life changes from day to day, maybe not as quickly as we would like it but given enough time it always does. We just have to believe.

you will desire to've examine that suicide question final evening. you're good, this is a stupid word that would not truly make experience, that is like that is indicating that a answer to a difficulty shouldn't final very long. And the persons who say "temporary difficulty" approximately suicidal all people is so ignorant. Having terminal maximum cancers isn't temporary, having a spouse or husband die isn't temporary, people who call people who dedicate suicide selfish with out even understanding something approximately them are disgusting.

Saying that, 'maybe a persons situation was never meant to improve' is absolutely silly...and ignorant.
There IS "some other force" that keeps some people from living their dreams, keeps them from being happy and thankful for their chance and loving themselves. It is not called God though. It is a Mental Illness that blinds some people to the joys of living life even though it is sometimes painful.
Give God a break. God ain't a hater.

Almost everyone alive has gone through trying times. Many of those people may have thought (briefly)of ending their lives. Something, however, made them realize that they can come out of it on the other side.

EVERYONE has encountered people in their lives who have a negative effect on them. There are negative people in the world who are more than willing to try and bring you down if you'll allow it. You have to realize this is their problem and not yours. Refuse to play into their hands. Don't let their unhappiness become yours. It IS a choice.

Wow. this is a seriously disturbing question.

That aside, it defers ones responsibility for their own actions and behaviors to God. How people react to you is a direct reflection of how you behave towards them, and it is as simple as that.

Depression and suicidal thoughts and behaviors are just about the most self centered actions a person can take. That's not very PC, our society likes to soft stoke issues on feelings. But here's the deal, you have a RESPONSIBILITY, and it is YOURS, not Gods, not your parents, not your brothers or sisters, not societies, it is YOURS, to behave in a way that is constructive, not destructive. If a situation is bad, take responsible measures to make it better.

That's bullcrap. The only permanent problem is a terminal illness or disease mentally or physically . Otherwise, all problems are temporary. If you are of sane mind, then you are capable of resolving your problem(s) in a logical, rational and mature manner. ANYONE with a sane mind, body and health has the capability to IMPROVE their problem. They only CHOOSE not to do so. They CHOOSE the weaker path of self pity and self doubt because it's easier than the hard work involved with improving.

I have seen, read and heard or people committing suicide for ridiculous reasons such as a break up of a relationship or they believed others didn't care for them or any other nonsense. These are ALL resolvable problems. But if they CHOOSE to remain weak and end their lives, so be it. No pity will extend from me. It's one less selfish person we have to worry about.
