I would hope the answer would be zero percent. It's not appropriate. Some people treat Prom Night like a Wedding Night, but it's not. it's a high school dance.

I think high school have really tried to keep these events chaperoned and protected. My friend in California has a prom where they all ride a bus to the place where the dance is, then ride back. If they leave the dance early, or come late, they can't get in, they control them in this way.

But what they choose to do on their own time can't be controlled. It's sad really.

And boys usually ask girls. It's called choosing a date, not a mate. Prom is the one dance where you would usually take someone who means the most to you.

it used to be a big percentage but with alot of kids either going by themselves or with a group of the same sex that number has gone down. even the prom date is becoming obsolete. they just go to have fun!!

there is really no pattern to how they choose, but about 55 percent do. that's Wat i hear!
