The correct fact on IQ is this. There are many different tests. The Average IQ is 90-110. It is a fact! 125 would be well above average. My IQ (which I am not a fan of these tests) is 130. I am a Physician. IQ is not a fair assessment of everything and only measures certain criteria. Do not hold to much weight on IQ.

Your IQ of 125 is well above average of 100. But the test should have been administered by a professional. Online tests are generally less accurate and might be misleading.

This is a simple explanation of a IQ score.

If you are 20 years old (keep the value as a) and have an intelligence of a 22 years old (keep the value as b), your IQ would be a (b/a) * 100

that is (22/20) * 100 = 1.1*100
that is 110.

The general population have an IQ of 90 - 110. Or to put simply, they have the intelligence required for their age.

the first person lies flat up, ignore the child. and I love the other one who states 160. if these 2 kids had any sense they would see we all know they lie. for one who has an IQ over 155....NASA and other organizations will be talking to you for employment. And taking an IQ test in the back of Teen Beat is not an IQ test. I am a 146 and my uncle is a 176 and he did work for NASA, I should know what I am talking about.

you are ranked above average.... http://wilderdom.com/intelligence/IQWhatScoresMean.html

Too many think IQ means book smarts, intelligence. It doesn't. IQ means the ability to look past the normal, outside the box, compared to those of the same age.

The median IQ score is a 100. A small percentage of the population falls within your score, so it is good. However, if you took the test on-line (especially if it didn't ask your age), it's not the best or most accurate score for you. More accurate results come from IQ tests administered by professionals.

100 is average. so 125 is above average.

90% of the population have a lower IQ than you.

(80% of the population is between 80 and 120.)

I think it's pretty good. Congrats to you!

I know the median value is 90-110 and I'm in the top 2% of the population (Not sure where the other boudaries go ,though).

Not wanting to brag, I'm 152 (got tested when I was 11). I AM NOT LYING, I HAVE A MENSA CERTIFICATE AT HOME TO PROVE IT, OK?!

If it was an online test you did, then I'd take it with a pinch of salt (A very large one!)

You can ask Mensa for tests, I guess. I'm not sure whether they're the ones to ask, though, as I didn't ask for the tests myself at the time (Mum did).

I see Mensa mentioned above. I was talked by a friend into taking their tests, mainly to amuse him. When invited to join I did decline, I actually don't think much of their organization, at least not the people I was introduced to.

If you like puzzles and somewhat out of the box thinking, take their tests.

Other than entertainment value, IQ has no real purpose.

Yes, average is 100 on most calculations. So you would be 25 points higher than the average for your age.
