I'm not black but I would think it would be the South... With all the history that's taken place in the south I don't know why any black person would like to live there... And all the natural disasters... forget about it.

Although I have never been to this place before, I think that the State that is the most friendly to Blacks is New York. What city? Well, it may not seem like it, but the city that is the most friendly to Blacks more than any other city in New York State is New York City. Why? Because, although and despite the fact that it may be true that cabs don't stop for us brothas, New York City has a tolerance of ALL people, REGARDLESS of what color you are and what religious faith you are. Hell, NYC has people from EVERY part of the world! So, I think you'll be okay there! Is the LAPD STILL full a bunch of rednecks and crooked brothas? I was THINKING about moving there, but if they're still like that, I might wanna move to another part of California!
And to lilmonty: Atlanta AIN'T where you wanna move to! Why? Because I'm FROM there and I STILL live there and although it seems that we're the less racist city in the State of Georgia, there are STILL some country-@$$ rednecks here who don't take kindly to us and if you want to travel outside of Atlanta by car, you have to make sure that there are no signs of Confederate flags and White guys with sheets over their heads (and possibly with guns) around you because there are many rednecks who DON'T like us Blacks and ready to call us the "n-word" whenever they're angry with us because you WILL be outside of Atlanta!

I heard Atlanta, GA is a really good place for blacks. Maybe not GA as a whole, but definately Atlanta. There are a lot of middle class and upper class areas of Atlanta that are all black, which is something that you will not find in CA. They are just like the typical middle to upper middle class suburbs in CA except instead of all white people its all black people. The problem in CA and other states that don't have a large black population is that many of the blacks are in the lower classes here. But in other states there are much more middle and upper class blacks and generally the more middle and upper class blacks there are the better the racial tensions tend to be b/c whites see blacks more as their equal when they have the same lifestyle as them. in CA since most blacks are on the lower rung of the socioeconomic ladder, most whites only see lower class blacks and have a negative opinion of them that stems mainly from class difference rather than race, but they view it as a race issue.
Places like Atlanta that have more middle class and upper class blacks would have better race relations that places with fewer blacks.
