they seem to be in the cameras memory, not the cards....please help, these photos are really important to my sister and I.

See page 49 of your manual or the quick start guide. It's too detailed to copy here, but you have to install the Picture Project software that came with your camera and use the UC-E6 USB cable that came with your camera.

This is the BASIC procedure. If it doesn't work for you, you'll have to read all the details in the manual to see how to configure your software.

Turn your computer on, but leave the camera OFF.
Plug in the USB cable and then turn the camera on.
View the picture you want to transfer on the LCD monitor.
Press the "OK" button on the camera and that picture transfers.
