yes...it works best if u sit out in the sun with the lemon juice on....although this can have a very drying affect on ur hair...i have actually had good experiences without the sun tho...i just used fresh squeezed lemon juice and poured it throughout my hair...then i put a shower cap on (u can also wrap a hot towel over the shower cap)...and let it sit for between 30 min. and an hour...and when i washed it out my natural gold/brown highlights were a very bright shiny gold color...make sure u put a good conditioner in after u do this so it doesnt dry out ur hair.

:D good luck!!

Im not sure, but a few years ago by sister put lemon juice on her hair, sunbathed for a few days and her hair was noticelby lighter. So im guessing it only works if you sunbathe with it in. But lemon juice is probaly really bad for your hair, stripping it of its natural oils, thus damaging it and making it dry.
So why dont you go and BUY a proper highlighting kit?

Sine lemons have citric acid in them , it will make your highlights lighter, but only if you're activating the citric acid with light or the sun. It's a good idea to put lemon juice on your hair when going to the beach. A suntan and hair lightening. :)

for it to bring out your highlights you have to be in the sun. like puting lemon juice on you hair when you are gonna be inside wont do anything. try it when you are on spring break or at the beach cause it only works when you have intense heat

It will also really dry your hair out. I recommend strong-brewed chamomile tea instead. Put that on your hair and go in the sun and you'll have beautiful lighter/highlighted hair, if your natural haircolor is brown.

Yes, combined with heat of the sun, it should accentuate your highlights.
