i think of its needed. there are maximum of regulations and regulations that are handed which would be downright unconstitutional and discriminatory in the direction of people who're no longer Christian, quite Atheists. The extra persons there are that are brazenly atheist, the extra our voices would be heard and we are able to do away with lots of the ridiculous crap this is floating around the government at present. via this I advise unfair tax rights to church homes, tax money going in the direction of non secular motives, clever layout being taught in technological expertise instructions truly of evolution...the record is going on and on. additionally, the extra persons there are, the better that is going to likely be for others to declare, "yeah, i'm an atheist too" with out feeling so remoted and on my own. I won't lie...I lost some acquaintances while i ultimately got here out as an atheist. that is unhappy, yet while they're going to discriminate against a guy or woman they have known for some years simply by fact of my loss of non secular theory, they actually are not the persons i theory they have been besides.

I'm not in the US so nothing I say is going to help the ignorant people stuck in the bible belt being fed lies by friends family and TV and suffering from a mediocre education and a long term dumbing-down of everything presented to them.
To quote Dawkins though I agree that its time atheists started punching their weight.

Yes it is, and YA, blogs, etc. is a good start. It's also time for agnostics to get off the fence and join the atheists!

You must be new to this forum. I don't see anybody peering cautiously around the closet door in this place.

I will forever be loyal to the truth.
I renounce all God, even the cute lovely flying spaghetti ones! (They look good as wallpaper though. :) )
