most definately - its always better to give than to expect to receive. when you help others, usually the rewards far outweight anything you would have gotten merely trying to satisfy yourself or your own needs. in helping, understanding and loving other living things, you automatically turn those experiences back on yourself anyway, so the reward is doubled.
