Of course it is 55p but isn't is amazing how maths questions always but always produce a range of answers that have no logical basis! At least that gave me a laugh!
Calculation : Cork = x pence
Therefore, Wine Bottle = x + 50
And we know ..... Bottle + Cork = 60p
Therefore x + ( x + 50 ) = 60p
Therefore 2x + 50 = 60
Therefore 2x = 10p, and therefore x = 5p
Therefore Wine Bottle = x + 50 = 55p QED
