your metabolism slows down.

Crash diets send an SOS to the metabolism, practically screaming, "You're in starvation mode!" Sensing that food is scarce, the body conserves its reserves, slowing the metabolism to hold on to what it has until the next big meal comes along.

As metabolism slows, fat loss also slows, so much that dieters on crash diets or very low calorie plans lose less fat than they would on a sensible reduced-calorie program. In most cases, this means that crash dieters who see big losses on the scale may actually lose less fat than dieters who opt to eat--and enjoy--more food.

You could die - you will mess up your stomach and your body, it will cause some pernament damage, you will lose water, your metabolism will slow down which is very dangerous. People think that it helps weight loss - infact it actually prevents weightloss, yeah sure your saving some calories, but when you next eat - for the next month your body will let nothing go and your weight will just rocket up.

Besides feeling hungry, you'll get light-headed, lethargic (no energy), cranky, and may pass out. Your hair may fall out and your skin will look dry and flaky.
