Well if you have the extra cash, also ask the owner if you can buy a 3 or 4 day permit and take it to a garage that you know is reputable. Tell him/her you want to have a mechanic look at it. It may cost you an extra 100. or 150.00 bucks but the info you get might save you thousands in repairs later and find out the car cost you 2500.00 more afterwards.
If this person says no, ask them why you shouldn’t, they may say I had it done. Ask to look at the report and check the date on it. If they refuse to show you, look else were and save yourself the grief of expensive repairs.
There are los of cars/trucks. dont make a fast jugement you will regret. Be smart ask lots of questions.
Book your appointment and get it to the garage. If you dont have the money, find out if you have a safety inspection center somewere and for much less cash you can find out almost the same if not beter info on repairs than the mechanic will. Check things out be smart, dont fall in love with the stereo and paint, can always do that yourself later and get it the way and sound you like.
