Put anti-bacterial cream on it as needed. Do not under any circumstances try peeling the skin off, because it will not only hurt, but also leave a scar that won't go away. Scabs fall off on their own when the wound has heeled - they are basically clumped blood that clumps so that microbes don't go inside the wound and make it infected and dangerous.

Rinse it out with some isopryl alcohol and put a bandaid on it. If you think it might be infected, use some anti-bacterial ointment.

Time heals the scab, don't pick at it.

it wil eventually drop off when the wound underneath has healed it is the way it protects the new skin and keeps the dirt out

Leave it alone till it comes off on its own. Your body's trying to heal itself from the inside. You should let it come off on its own.
