A friend of mine is looking at adopting this uber fun and goofy dog. But we're trying to figure out his breed. What is posted is just a guess. He's around 100lbs and barely a year. Any other suggestions? We don't care we're just curious (really-we love this dog he's amazing)

He's cute, and BIG. I can see some obvious lab, but he is
very stocky too, he might have some large breed too- like
St. Bernard or Mastiff. I think its great to consider adopting from the shelter! Just make sure you have the time and money for a dog. A bigger dog eats more so in the long run will cost a bit more, but if this is not a problem, GO FOR IT! Good Luck!

Definitely lab, and the black on ears and tail, plus the shape of his ears and tail might well be akita. Looks like a great dog, and has a pure lab personality.

Lab, Golden Retriever, Shepherd mix...but NOT German Shepherd. Many people think that just because it has shepherd in it that it is GERMAN shepherd and that is false. there are many different types of shepherd. and the word shepherd refers more to how the coat feels and the color. Akita is kind of a long shot, but I could see it...just very minimal. More lab than anything :)

Definitely looks like a labrador mix - mostly lab by the looks of it - crossed with something else!

i think it def could be a lab/akita...akitas are big like that i would guess that without the site saying it

well it says on his sight what he is but he looks more like a golden retervier and lab mix combined with lots of love id grab him up he looks enegetic playful and lots of love to give..i too have pets i adopted and there the best kind...God speed...Dusty

Well since the site says that he is a Lab/Akita mix.....that would be my guess.

i agree with what alot of people have said
definatley lab
other part probally german shep and something else. (lab, shep. boxer???) He doesn't look like he has thick akita fur. Maybe though, it would be easier if we saw a photo of his tail.
