you should just tell her in a very nice voice. that you would like to see other people, and you don't have to be a coward to break up with any one! it won't hurt her maybe she would like to see other people too! i know i am a girl and if you just say it it isn't so hurtful

go up to her and say "i cant continue this relationship anymore im not happy and havent been for a while. i dont know if its you or me but it just isnt going 2 work out. i like you and admire you alot i wanna remain your friend but i can understand if you dont want 2 , i'm sorry", dont make her try and dump u that'll make it last longer, be honest and sincere and she'll respect you. off course she'll be upset but anyway you do it she'll be upset. hope i helped

god just make her jelous then break up. it will be least pain ful trust me!! make out with a nother gurl in front of her, then next time u see her just say "its OVER" and go to another girl!
