just open the packet and pour the corn into a pan or wok, make sure to use a lid. Put it on low/medium heat and wait for it to start popping, then stop when it only pops about two/three times a second. (note I am assuming it's one of those that already has oil in the packet, if not just use some vegetable oil or margarine, but not much..

Well I assume the popcorn in the microwave bag is the same as the popcorn you can buy to cook on the stove.....Before we had microwaves.... Use a pot with a lid and little bit of oil. just enough to coat the kernals. cook them over a med to high heat. You need to keep moving the pot over the heat so the kernals do not burn and so the kernals on top can get to the bottom as the popcorn pops. Enjoy...

I choose microwave, because it really is swifter, and often tastier. about 2 minutes 30 sec is suitable for popping the most kernels, with the fewest burnt ones. Caramel popcorn is the superb, yet action picture popcorn is an in intensity 2d. the different pro flavors often are not almost as good, IMHO.

Just use the microwave at the 7-11 down the street.
Hint: Use it at night when the stoner dudes are working there...they won't mind but the Middle Eastern dudes that are there during the day might get out their shotguns if they find out.

Sure -- for the 3.5 ounce packages heat on highest setting in a 4 quart covered pot with 2 tablespoons of oil. tear open the package and take out two or three kernels of popcorn and put them in the pot. When they pop - drop in the rest of the package contents of popcorn and oil into the pot. Should all be over in a couple more minutes.

Yeah, I am old enough to remember how the non-micro stuff was done.
Dump the contents of the bag into a pot with a lid.
Check to make sure that the contents have some oil or butter included in it. If it doesn't seem greasy then add some butter to the pot.
Then put it on the highest heat.
When it starts to pop, shake the pot to make sure it doesn't burn. You have to keep it moving as it burns easily...don't stop...consider it a bit of exercise.
When the popping noise slows down to practically nothing...it is done.
Open lid, check to see if it is buttery enough for you...if not...butter it
Enjoy

Yes...the old fashioned way in a pan with a lid on it. Put the kernals in a pan and over the heat and holding the lid on tight, move the pan back and forth while you hear the kernals pop.....you keep the pan moving so they don't sit and burn on the bottom. When you hear them stop popping they are done.
This is the way we always made popcorn when I was a kid.

Do you have a popcorn popper? You can go and buy a big bag of popcorn and pop up some popcorn.
