I think so, the main problem with pups that have not been innoculated is Parvo virus as it is deadly. I don't think Cats can carry it, but the virus can exist in dog feaces etc. That is why its important to keep them isolated from other dogs during this time. The back garden should be fine though.
Enjoy your pup. PS. I suggest getting a cage for your pup and putting it in it at night (with the door closed). You will NOT get any chewing and you won;t get any accidents either as dogs WILL NOT deficate on their own beds so it is a good training method.
You may need to ut up with some howls for the first few nights but you need to be strong.
Regards
Gary

Yes it is fine.
Great that he's actually going outside in the garden than inside the house. Doesn't matter if next doors cat has been going in there or not. As soon as your puppy start laying down his own toilet stuff, the cat will no longer come into your garden.
It is only dangerous if you take you puppy out into public places where loads of other dogs go, prior to his final inoculations. This is where he is more than likely going to catch something.
Your garden is fine, unless you have all the neighbourhood dogs going into your garden that is.
This is advise given to me by my vet when I got my puppy and we used to have our neighbours cat frequenting the garden. As soon as our pup laid down his own scent, the cat knew this and has never returned !!! :) (accept to the roof of the shed where he will lay and look he he he)

If its only cats that are in your garden he should be fine hes not likely to catch cat flu or feline aides and as far as cats going were dogs may have gone so do you when you come in,just watch your puppy when he is in the garden never leave him unattended and he will be fine, you didn't say how old but if you leave toilet training to long it will be harder on you so let your puppy out hes stronger than you think.

If you live in a town or city, there are diseases everywhere that an un-innoculated puppy could pick up. You should toilet train him with newspaper inside until he has had all the necessary injections.

Yes it will be fine. You cant put toilet training on hold untill he's had his jabs.To be honest, jabs are over rated, and my 2 dogs only had there puppy jabs, they have never had another one sinse. They haven't had a series illness ever.I brang my pup home with my older dog, who's not vaccinated and no problems so you will be ok yes.
