No-one around here seemingly rates Audley. He hasn't been impressive at all throughout his pro career and one fight doesn't change that, however it was a very impressive performance against Danny Williams. Audley came out and went after him instead of trying to work from outside.

If he beats Sprott and does so looking good then you can start to think of Audley having turned the corner and will the lack of quality and depth in the heavyweight division, you just never know...

Audley is far from being the real deal. Beating an over the hill Danny Williams does nothing for him. By now he should be fighting better opponents but as he always does he takes the easy route and tries to convince people that he will be undisputed champion next year. Being from England I would love to be able to back him but he simply is not good enough. He is European level at the maximum.

Harrison fights on the 17th this month versus Sprott. Harrison should easily win. Hopefully he can be as impressive as he was versus Danny Williams.

Although Harrison is 35 (which actually isnt that old in todays heavyweight standards), he is a tall (6'5") southpaw with agility and speed. He is a former gold medalist who seems like he has all the potential in the world but cant seize it.

Harrison has a lot of talent but seems to lack characteristics such as drive and motivation. He isnt willing to really put himself on the line for a victory. In other words, he takes the easy way out by not taking the fight into deep waters by truly testing himself and his opponent.

You cant consider him the real deal because he hasnt beaten a top contender (although Valuev is the longest current reigning heavyweight champion and he hasnt really fought anyone...besides Ruiz but that was a controversial decision if i have ever seen one).

Harrison certainly has the talent and amateur pedigree to become a dominant heavyweight but boxing is much more mental than physical and he needs to improve the former.

No, in order for Audley to be considered the "Real Deal" he needs to fight more often and ascend the Heavyweight rankings.

Someone here said he's European level at best, but judging by the number of fringe contenders from the old Eastern Block, I'd dear say he would really have to prove himself to even consider himself that.

Audley has the ability, he just needs to regain the confidence he had as an amatuer and apply it in the pro ring.

I think Audley Harrison has the ability and power to become world champion, but i don't think he has the mental strength to go with it.

No hes not the real deal yet and to be honest hes never likely to be, despite the fact he has good boxing skills and is technically better than alot of the current heavyweight fighters. The main problem he has is his lack of heart and that hes not so good at taking punches as he is giving them.

He will need to fight better competition to be considered anything other than an average fighter. He is good but nothing great yet. If he can fight 5 to 10 quality opponents over the next several years and be a champ then he could be considered better than average....

Audley who?

No. It's all very well and good beating up a fighter who is inconsistent, but he has to produce at the World level. With his supposed fragile psyche, how would he fare against Sam Peter and the Klitschkos? I think he may just run for 12 rounds, although Aud himself insists he wouldn't.
