My eye is swolen, What is wrong?

My eye is swolen at the top and also hurts when i blink and when i touch the top of my eye. im scared to put my contact in. what could be wrong?

could be a sty its a little lump that gets very swollen and causes the lid to swell they usually go away on their own try using warm compress for pain relief and get an antibiotic drop

or it could be an eye infection from dirt or germs

is there any discharge if so could be conjuctivitis or pink eye is your eye ball red and burny/ichy

I would NOT wear your contact until it clears up if it gets worse or impares your vision go to the dr

Don't put your contact in as this will just make it worse for an infection. Either go to the Emergency Room or call the nearest doctor if you can't get in to see someone. They can either triage you over the phone or give you a suggestion. Your eyes are nothing to mess with. No one can diagnose you without seeing you.

If you are experiencing red eye, lacrimation, and photosensitivity report to the opthalmic surgeon, as you might have developed ulcer of the cornea.

i had pain like that in my eye and it;s called pink eye.it;s very painful'and it;s a little red or pink;;you can't touch it as it;s catchy..some liquid come out and your eyelashes stick together....if you have any of these then you have to go to the dr,to get some ointment for it..if its something else;you need to go to your docter asap,,..good luck to you and hope you feel better soon!!!!!!!!

infection. it coud be pink eye to just a simple bacteria infection. get some antibodies in your system before it gets worse.
