No, what I do is save the plastic bags from the grocery store and everytime I scoop out the litter boxes...we have three and they are scooped out three times a day...I put the used litter into one of those plastic bags, tie it shut and put it into a big garbage can...the can has a big garbage bag inside of it...and the can has a lid on it.
This can is kept outside with our other garbage can.
On garbage day with just take both cans to the curb.
You don't have any odor inside or outside.

Some other responses have suggested charcoal. I have the perfect solution that i use myself to get rid of odors without smelly fragrances and messy sprays. . It is a product called FRIDGE IT odor absorbers. It is a little purple cube with an activated carbon filter inside that is really great. It works so much better than baking soda and all those sprays.Just place or clip one near your trash.. No messy pieces or carbon powder to worry about. The carbon filter in this product literally eliminates the odors and works for a long time. I use this product everywhere including my fridge and freezer and also under sinks, near trash, closets, drawers and have friends that use it on cat litter box and also diaper pails - it's that good. I really recommend it and it's not expensive. You can buy it in kitchen gadget sections in stores like walmart and linens and things. I also think camping world sells it. Definitely worth trying. It's the best product for any odors around the house.

Unless you buy a litter that's flushable, putting the poop down the toilet isn't the best idea because the littter can clogged everything up. Anyhow I just scoop the poop into a small paper lunch bag and take it outside to the trash. I also use the baking soda in the litter box and that helps control the smell as well.

If it works it works. I've never tried it for killing pet odors but I used to put baking soda in my trash can to kill the garbage smell. But one thing you could do to stop the smell of your pet's "crap" is take it outside as soon as you get it bagged.

I use the brown paper lunch bags and put my daily scoops for the four cats in that and put it in the can in the garage. The can is emptied once a week.

I don't notice that it smells up the garage at all. I think the poopies don't smell all that much - it's only that when they are deposited that some gas is released and that's what's smelly.

That's fine, baking soda is used the most for eliminating odors. Did you know tho that you can flush the poops down the toilet? That probably be the best thing to do, less work for you! Hope this helped!

That is a good idea. What I do is put it in plastic bags and sprinkle the baking soda in the bag before tying it off. I put those bags in a larger plastic bag or box before discarding it.

Um, why put the poop in the garbage? Just flush it down the toilet.

No. I purchased smaller bags just for the poo. Take it out right away. It works the best.
