Cocono's 8280 W. Union Hills Drive, Glendale, (623) 362-8000.
Moises Treves was one of the first to introduce this town to sophisticated Mexican fare back in 1992, at Such Is Life. Now he's back at it again, with his nopales (cactus pads) with Manchego cheese and chorizo; thin-sliced carne Tampiqueña; adobada-basted baby back ribs; and chicken mole. The dessert napolitano, a cross between cheesecake and flan, is to die for.
