Well, it all started out 4 years ago when me and my brother were jumping off of swings. Yeah I know pretty dumb. But I did it and landed on the side of my foot and colapsed. Well, I couldn't walk on it for like ...3 months. In total it hurt for 1 year non stop. Now it hurts on and off but now it really hurts.I was in a different country and/or contenent and didn't go to the doctor. Pretty dumb also. Well, after that it hurt whenever I just hurt it alittle it would hurt a lot. I'm going to the doctor but I have 2 wait for my mom to get back from a trip. What does it sound like 2 u? I also heard a loud crack when I landed. Does that mean I broke it? Is it possible that I broke it and it didn't grow back corrctly? What should I do? Do u think it is serious? surgery? Im only 12 FYI.

*how do they re break your bone if it hasn't grown back correctly?*

Sweetie I don't know how they would correct it if it had been broken and not healed properly, but I do know that you would be asleep for the entire process and wouldn't feel a thing, so try not to worry too much about that. I hope you get an answer that will help you out, good luck to you. Try not to be too anxious over this, because however the doctors correct this, it's not going to keep a young girl down for long. You should be just fine. Best wishes and hugs.

***If it's hurting you, then you need to convince your mom to get you to a Dr. before her trip, not after. You shouldn't have to put up with pain, either. Talk to your mother, ask her about over-the-counter pain relievers. She should be giving you something for your discomfort if she isn't already. If you are taking pain relievers and they aren't helping, then you really do need to see your Dr. sooner than you will be. You're too young to have to put up with pain from something that's easily fixable.

It would be irresponsible of anyone here to advise you on drugs to be taking because of your age. We could end up causing you more harm than good, so please talk to your mom, a friend's mother, or another trusted adult. Insist that someone who knows you personally help you.

Good luck.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

This sounds exactly like something that happened to me. Mine was playing baseball. Initially, the doctors didn't think it was broken but, it turned out that I had a hairline fracture right at the joint that developed a spur at the joint when I was just walking normally, it was fine but when I played any type of sports or put extra pressure on it, it would cause a lot of pain. What they did for me was called Arthroscopic surgery and shaved the spur and I haven't had a problem since.

well if it healed back wrong it will have to be rebroken. this can be done in office but it is EXTREMELY painful!!!!!! the other option is surgery. they will open the skin and break in by force or they can saw through. if they do surgery they will insert pins & plates to hold the bones. recovery is longer but the results are better.
