no it's not nerves... when you are eating spicy food it is making your body hot and work more to keep your body cool so you sweat from it. has nothing to do with your nerves unless you get freaked out about it! soon as the spicy foods hit's your taste buds you will begin the process and quickly start to sweat.

no, nerves in our mouth, nose & throat but just as much from the chemical(s) aswell (Capsamiacin mainly.)

The body, Mainly the head area is tricked into thinking it is hotter, so we sweat thus mainly from the head,

if too much goes in our stomach, it just ends up making you nauseus, and maybe giving you stomach cramps, it's all about the chemicals "burning" your mouth area mainly.

We sweat because our body is trying to cool us down. The spicy foods are just making your body hot and your body is doing what human bodies have been doing for millions of years! Sweat to cool you down!
