This question was asked by a group member on blackplanet.com but nobody seems to have the right answer. I've checked everywhere on Google but no luck. Where did this saying come from? Did this come from Sleeping Beauty when the prince kissed her while she was sleeping? This is a good question for Valentine's Day.

He thinks your beautiful and loves you so much that he can't express how he feels when your awake. At least that's what I'm thinking when I kiss my man when he's sleeping. Sometimes I cry because I feel so sad for him too. I think he's calm now and asleep and wish he could find peace when he's awake too. Mixed emotions I guess. Sometimes I want to punch him in the face when he's asleep. Who knows? Mostly it's because I think he's beautiful and I love him.

I don't think there's a "right" answer because every man is different.

I think that it means he could be shy and wanting to leave you a kiss without having to wake you up.

If you're talking about the purpose of the fairytale, it's just your one true love is the person who should be able to save you.

It depends on what else he is doing while you sleep. If he just kisses you on the lips when he thinks you are sleeping then he loves you. If he continues on to kiss other body parts then he is getting off on the fact that he can play with you without you knowing it. It is somtimes refered to as sleep assalt, especially if the women does not care for this type of sex.

That made me smile, Because I do it!
With Me, It's not a sexual thing, Its me feeling protective, because when My girlfriend or My daughters are asleep they look so sweet and peaceful, and I want to protect them.
P.S. Didn't read the question correctly... oops! I kiss my daughters on the cheek.

He's obsessed and scared about whether or not to approach you if he hasn't yet. If he has then he just thinks it's romantic. In the first instance RUN!!!! He's insecure and he could turn out to be a psyco serial valentine's KILLER!!!! In the second I think it's safe to coo at this one and think it's sweet. Or maybe I've just had too much caffeine this morning.
