my boyfriend and i are opposites... xcept 4 the fact that we both take terriyaki sandwiches from subways and put lotsa peppers n olives.. so he asks me one night on the phone: y are we together! were so different.. so i'm taken aback by the stupid question... awkward silence.. what would i answer to that?

if you are total oppisites then you both can show eachother diffrent things like if he likes chocolate and you dont then he could try to help you find something you like when you buy him chocolate...if he really cares about you then what you guys like and dislike really wont matter. hope it helps....<3 always ~Chloe

That's the worst thing a partner could ask. I will keep it real. It is a stupid question and I will ask for more details like why are you asking me why are we together ? let me know what's wrong in the relationship. No open communication then dump him. If there is nothjing good about him to think about when he ask that question then you know better let him know. It's up to you. Tell him what you like about him. Think hard. Don't be pause by the moment.

I have been in a relationship and wondered the same thing. What I meant was how did the two of us that really didn't have much in common be lucky enough to have met. He may have meant it that way. Ask him he is the only one that can tell you what he meant and if you took it the wrong way.

What can I say? Opposites attract. My boyfriend and I are both instrumentalists but besides that we couldn't be more different. He's quiet, a little shy, and a little reserved. I'm well... loud, outgoing, and sometimes can be a little crazy. I don't know how it works but that's how it happens sometimes.

funny you should say that all me and my husband have got in commen are 3 kids lol we dont like the same food musik people cars films anything really but i think thats what makes a realationship intresting as you have allways got something to tlk about it worked for us anyway the last ten years XXx

Throw it back at him and ask him the same question. Or what do you think, what do you really like about him, tell him why you like being with him, and to you that's why you two are together. Maybe you like the way he treats you, or talks to you, you get the picture.
