Being in a state of purification = washed from sin, so able
to enter God's presence.
-possibly practising Jews around the time of the Day of Atonement each year
-certainly christians whose sins are washed clean by Jesus
-not moslems, since even Mohammad wasn't sure he was forgiven or would go to heaven
sacred book = writings from God
-I firmly believe that the Jewish scriptures and Christian scriptures are inspired by the Holy Spirit, sometimes working through weak men. I think the Koran comes from a fallen angel claiming to be Gabriel, since it contradicts the Jewish and christian scriptures. God does not withdraw and replace revelation.

Islam is the only monotheiset religion. Christianity doesn't have monotheism, since it has the Three Party rule. And yes u need to be clean to read n recite the Koran and yes u have to have a clean friendly place to worship. Basically "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" is one of the strongest and most demanding virtues of Islam.

First, please forgive the length of this post, the Islamic assertions behind your questions are worthy of a somewhat detailed response. Thanks
Having a clean place of worship or clean hands will avail nothing if your heart is not washed from sin. What religion can provide that? It can only be the one that goes by the Bible, for it is therein that we find the only way to truly by clean from our sins, which is at God's own costly expense, that of His very own Son Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for our sins and rose again! Nothing else can wash away our sins,"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul" (Lev 17:11). As the prophet Isaiah foretold, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all" (Isa 53:5,6).
Only One person in history could and has done that, which is the One the prophet Micah foretold would be born in Bethlehem, even Him "But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting (Micah 5:2).
This same Jesus, after leaving Heaven to reveal God to man, and having led a sinless and unselfish life, took responsibility of our sins and paid for them with His blood and rose again. And very unlike Islam, He did not promote physical violence to defend or spread the faith, but places true believers in a spiritual kingdom, which uses spiritual means to bring others to forgiveness and new life in Christ. Praise the Lord!
The true Jesus is uniquely one with the Father as He possesses the same uncreated nature as God the Father and His Holy Spirit, thus revealing what God meant when He said, "Let US make man in Our image" (Gn. 1:26). And let US go down, and "who shall go for US" (Gn. 11:7; Is. 6:8). Yes God is One God, according to His definition of One, that of One eternally pre-existent Being, the Father, with the Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus had no beginning, and in His position as the Son He is the visible manifestation of the invisible God).
In stark contrast, the Quran (or Koran) was compiled hundreds of years after the Bible, and constantly contradicts it (Muhammad was illiterate, and likely got his mixed up stories from mixed up lliterate traders). Yet Muhammad, in his ignorance of it, appealed to the "people of the Book" (Jews and Christians) for verification and confirmed the same Bible we now have (Sura 2:87, 5:46, 5:68, 29:46 and 43:63). Trying to explain this away, Islam came up with the nonsensical assertation that the Bible was changed wherever it contradicts the Quran. Yet there is not ONE SINGLE Biblical manuscript among the thousands of partial or full ones (and which precede the Quran) that agree with the Quran in it's contrary accounts! In addition, the changes that would be necessary to even add or subtract the death and resurrection of Christ (which Islam denies) would not simply necessitate some changes, but virtually a complete rewriting of the New Testament alone! While manuscript evidence from before and after Muhammad's time completely eliminates the possibility of such a rewriting of the Bible, it also confirms that there has been a massive rewritting of the words of God and His history, and that book is the Quran, placing it in the same category as the Book of Mormon and hundreds of other lesser known wannebe revelations of God, and Johnny - come lately imitations of the Word of God!
Jesus and His apostles quoted from the prophets which went before them, s they foretold of Christ, and we have manuscripts of there books today, but you deny them and changed their words, which is a very, very serious and damnable sin! Having insulted and denied the living and true God, you need to humble yourself as a sinner, and seek forgiveness from the only One who paid the price for it, the Lord Jesus Christ , the Son of the living and true God! And that is my prayer for you.
