People fear what they don't understand and therefore, attack it. Those who attack Christians are fulfilling Bible prophecy which states that we will be persecuted for our faith.
The larger picture is that Satan and God are in a battle for God's children. We are being fought over. Imagine your parents getting divorced and fighting over who gets custody of the kids. Satan is the aggressive parent who will use whatever tactics he can to get the kids to come live with him. God is the loving parent who doesn't want the kids caught in the middle so He lets them choose who they wish to live with. It is when we choose to love God that we can live completely in His house.
Non-believers don't understand that and that puts them in a place where Satan can use them in order to try to shake the faith of the believers.
Do not lose heart. Stay strong in the Lord. All things work for the good of those who love Him and walk in His ways. He will strengthen those who do His work His way. Seek first the Kingdom of God and all else will fall into place.
Be blessed.

Are Christians trying to get common sense, deceive people, or do they just like arguing?
Some people just like to argue. They may not even know what they believe, but they like to find questions by non-Christians just so they have something to argue with, or so they can make someone angry. I hate arguing. But I like hearing what other non-Christians have to say about things. I thought that I knew what to say to the "Believers," but I"ve learned a lot from reading what other non-Christians have to say on yahoo answers

You are kidding me with the question, right? You learned what to say to the devil from Yahoo Answers? I hope they provided the correct spelling. The devil is a stickler for spelling.
I am a non christian, and can safely say, I am not trying to get saved, no desire. I am one of the most honest people you can meet. Deception only causes problems...like arguing, well, I appreciate debate. I hate to argue, but healthy, INTELLIGENT, debate makes us human.

I like to argue for practice. It can sometimes be quite fun. I do not like hearing what Christians have to say because it frustrates me to see mankind so behind the times on a spiritual level. I think most of the non-christians who come here to argue with Christians are doing so because they share my hate for the stupidty of christianity and hope to extinguish it.

An old Jewish folk tale says that the reason a baby cries upon birth is that it has been ripped from the presence of God.
Perhaps that explains the search for something, we know it's there, but we don't remember what it is.
Is that what causes men to search for meaning, search for God?
I don't know, just kind of liked the thought.

You have to understand that some people feel helpless when picked on in school or in the office. In real life they would never argue back or say anything. They simply hold in their anger and become more and more bitter by the day.
Then they find a site like this and how to you feel any bigger and tougher than taking on God himself. I see this in some of the people here, in the bitterness and hostility they express. As Christians all we can do is pray that they find peace in their lives.
I see I stepped on some toes with that answer, but I also see the pain behind some of the rage on this site. I’m not sure why my response would bother anybody unless I hit a bit too close to home.

I am here to learn, and spread what I learn. I try to answer most of the questions with what I see as an honest reply. Unfortunately, my answers are not always what the person who asked wanted to hear.

When ever we start getting called out like you are doing right now we start arguing. How would you like it if I was on mythology&folklore saying that god was fake. I bet many christians would go over to that section and start arguing and calling me names.

What non-christians need to be saved from is endless tripe, idiocy and hate from mindless godbots.
Jean Paul Sartre was wrong. Hell isn't other people, it's you people, spewing religion day and night. Keep it out of the public eye and in your cult - oops, church - and you'll never hear any resistance.
You want someone to go to pedophile school - oops, Sunday school? Go there yourself instead of yakking about it.

You want to know why non-Christians argue with you? Because you say insulting things like that. Try getting down off your pedestal and wiping that holier-than-thou smirk off your face and talking to us like human beings, not "agents of the devil," because I've never met your fictional bogeyman. Give respect, get respect, go it?
