I'm not sure about Thailand but I went to China for a year and I needed to have a return flight ticket unless I had a working visa arranged.. all other types of visa's require a guaranteed way out (return flight)

you do not choose any visa(s) to enter or re-enter Thailand on your vacation from the united kingdom or once you come from Cambodia. As wisely reported above, uk passport holders are given a 30 day visa exemption even as entering into Thailand via a international airport and a 15 day visa exemption even as entering into (or coming back from Cambidia) via a land border. once you come from Cambodia you would accept a clean visa exemption. if you're re-entering into Thailand from Cambodia by technique of land, time your second stay in Thailand for 15 days or a lot less to stay clear of immigration hassles or overstays. it is also an outstanding concept to get your Cambodia visa earlier you commute to Cambodia, that could prevent countless time on the border. you are able to note for a Cambodian e-visa on-line or get one on the Cambodian Embassy in Bangkok. in case you note quite early interior the morning on the Embassy, they'll often have your visa waiting in an hour or 2. The Cambodian Embassy is placed interior the Wangthonglang element of Bangkok the position there is many eating places and places to devour even as you wait on your visa.

You and your partner are entitled to a 30-day visa-free tourist pass on arrival into Thailand. You need not show a return ticket these days.
