My girlfriend keeps talking about her ex boyfriends. On our first date, she talked about them. She even shows me their friendster/myspace sites and stuff. It didn't bother me at first because that was her life and her past, but she keeps doing it and it is starting to irritate me. Why does she do this, and am I wrong to feel irritated by it?

Every time she brings up that topic you should come up with a story of your imaginary girlfriend that how kind and good looking she was and how she gave up her life to save you from the 9/11 disaster in New York. Tell her that you want to devote your entire life to save enough money to build a hospital in her name. I'm sure she won't talk about her ex-boyfriends no more.

I feel you on that one.She is doing that to get your attention. She sounds like a drama female. Leave her. That's nasty I would not want to hear about the ex's that means she has been with a lot of guys. Let her know that you both are a new beginning so she don't need to talk about her past if she continues then break up with her. Also why she has them on myspace ? If she talks about them good or bad what's the point ?

I think you should talk to him about this. Point out to him how much he talks about his old girlfriend and how upset this makes you. Ask him how he feels about her. Pay attention to what he says and his body language when he says it. It's probably not going to be what you want to hear. If he's still hung up on her at all, he is not ready to have you or anyone else for a new girlfriend.

Girls do that so that you know she has options. She's comparing and complaining about everything you do "outloud" by talking about them. Girls have this innate need to be loved almost to death and don't feel like one guy can give them enough. So they keep their relationships with their ex-s going strong in their minds. Get use to it. Women are on a whole different mental level that us guys. If you try to understand them, you'll go crazy and end up on the ex boyfriend list.

dump her and find someone else. Let me ask you a question? If you married her, do you want her talking about all her X's? Of course not. That means that she is thinking of them. find someone with no added thinking baggage.

you'll really feel irritated to it, coz all she wanted to say is that i remember more of my past and i want u to know that i have another options if you'll stay with me or not. Guess it has something to do with her sincerity as a partner.

Move on. 6 months from now.. she will be showing her new boyfriend your myspace and talking about you.. Sounds young.. Too many good ones out there..

I hate it when my S.O. does that too. I showed off my exes to him too, but he doesn't seem to be getting the message.
