Hi, Bullet. I really appreciate your deep concern about the religious conversions that are being made now. This sort of conversion is not new to India. Hinduism is known for its religious tolerance. This is considered as its weakness. Hinduism is not a religion but it is the way of life! Religion is nothing but faith. That faith is being purchased outwardly but inner emotions still continue to exist as long as they live. Any religion should grow qualitatively but not quantitatively. In the name of God and religion we are committing so many unpardonable blunders. The word 'religion' acts as an opium on the minds of illiterate, ignorant and economically downtrodden people. The people who get converted for one or other reason are not treated on par and such people become a separate group in the same religion. Let's not worry. Time is the best healer of all ills of the society.

On a global basis there are also lot of people converting to Hinduism, Sikhism, Budhism, Jainism, Sufiism etc.; which have roots in the ancient wisdom of the hindu religion.

An evolution in any religion means re-evaluating it according to what we know today and refine and enhance it for the good of the manknd. No matter what anyone says all these philosophies have been put forward by some very thoughtful personnel. The words in all the holy books are open to interpretations in accordance with the modern times - without changing their original intent.

We should convert a stressed and strained person, or a poor person, to a self-esteemed person who is happy - rather than talking about religious conversions.

Krishna may bless a good christian than a bad Hindu. Similarly, Jesus will bless a good hindu than a christian who is bad in mind.

We shoud stop religious conversions - not to protect the head count of Hindus - but to stop chaos in society, and to make everyone understand that all religions has values. Simply changing the outer skin won't help.

And wisdom is to understand that the divine is omnipresent - the spiritual values in all religions are in same. We need a shift of mentality, from religion to spirituality.

Let us start converting people to a new religion called Love, driven by the values of caring and sharing.

the thirsty and hungry people who have been starving since long, only look for some one who can mitigate Their basic needs. Like the people who were effected in the Tsunami. if a society is taking care and sharing the problems of effected people there is no such question of conversion. if the society ignores its own elements who are suffering, an outsider comes and supplies the needful to the sufferer and starts developing business and other activities as the British did in 16 th century. Here the religion is only used to separate the society and further weaken it but the sufferers are not made the citizens of the Country who supplied the prey for the sufferers. SO every individual is responsible for unity of the society.
