Well, it all started out 4 years ago when me and my brother were jumping off of swings. Yeah I know pretty dumb. But I did it and landed on the side of my foot and colapsed. Well, I couldn't walk on it for like... a week. In total it hurt for 1 year. I was in a different country and/or contenent and didn't go to the doctor. Pretty dumb also. Well, after that it hurt whenever I just hurt it alittle it would hurt a lot. I'm going to the doctor but I have 2 wait for my mom to get back from a trip. What does it sound like 2 u? I also heard a loud crack when I landed. Does that mean I broke it? Is it possible that I broke it and it didn't grow back corrctly? What should I do? Do u think it is serious? surgery? Im only 12 FYI.

*how do they re break your bone if it hasn't grown back correctly?*

it's not broken

you wouldn't have been walking that fast without a cast and the pain of breaking it would be enough to go to the hospital

sounds like a mean high ankle sprain...you should have done something though b/c it may never fully recover

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

The fact that you heard a loud crack when you landed indicates the possibility of a broken or fractured ankle, however if this is the case you would not even be able to walk... It's possible that it's a sprain, but you should probably get it checked out.

If u broke ur bone... you will not be able to walk completely... so its comfirm not a broken bone... be happy about that ok? most probably is that the bone went into the wrong place or something... something like dislocation but the bone did not seperate but shifted somewhere... thats the only outcome from jumping and hurting urself... and it is impossible that it's sprained.... i sprained mine like... more than 10 times... and now i am walking... what u said doesn sound relistic though...

Just a sprain.. I did the same thing to mine.. while wrestling. It took a few months to really get back to normal.. Dr. said I would have been better off had I broke it. .Ice it etc.. They do sell ankle braces at the local drugstores or Wal Mart..

No,you just sprained it. the "crack" was actually JUST a "snap", and it was your tendon snapping. they take a while to grow back but it doesn't mean u broke it.
