She'll probably stop when she gets older..but we have an almost two year old male cat who's greatest pleasure was to play in his litter box and fling the litter all over the place...he never grew out of it.
I went out and bought a covered litter box and he stopped doing it.

Put the tray in a bathroom or an outdoor patio...keep a wisk(small) broom handy for little clean ups. after shes finished doing her duty ..try luring her away with a treat, then maybe she'll get the idea that if she comes away a treat is waiting for her. this treat will also be a reward for her going in the tray... i find that kittens will chase a 2 ft pc of yarm all over the house if you just make them aware of it. close the door to where the litter tray is then open it a little while later when she isn't looking. (so she'll be able to go again). the trick is to keep her away from the tray when she isn't in need of using it but at the same time making it available to her for when she does need it. i kept my tray under the sink in the bthrm. the kittens would follow me into the other room anyway so they didn't linger in an empty personless room. they like attention...

Awww She will stop doing this soon she is only a baby and likes to play i had one kitten that used to eat the litter, he was so funny cause he would look up at you with litter all round his mouth we used to just move him away if he wasn't using his litter but he soon grew out of it.

When you see her doing it, try to distract her with a cat toy or treats. Not all cats grow out of it...my cat doesn't roll in her litter, but she will literally spend a half hour scratching at the floor next to the box unless we distract her...she's been doing it for four years!

Kittens like rolling in litter because when they were being nursed by their mother she probly did something like it and kittens always go and do what their mother did. She was like their role model. My cat does it.

maybe keep one piece of poo in the tray and see if that works. you could also get a box with a top over it to keep the litter from going every where.

hi i imagine because the paper is comfortable .my one loves tearing up paper and sliding over it . i imagine she is attempting to conceal the poo if she will see it she will be able to shop going back to conceal it up , attempt non clumping clutter. if there's a co op close to ,their clutter is spectacular very last more and no smells. the single interior the fairway bag. and he or she will be able to shop out the tray.

She will grow out of it. My cat used his as a sort of sand pit until he went to the toilet in it. he eventually grew out of it. I think its just a kitten thing
