Not if the dog isnt doing any harm to the cat.
But i can see there side If someone else dog came near my cat i would be weary but i would go off on one I would just make sure that the cat is ok with the dog near it (mine would be as i have a dog aswell ) Alot of cats are just as playful with dogs. But make sure your dog dont get hurt by this cat if it scratches your dogs eyes it could blind him .
Tell the people next door to get a grip

If the cat is coming into your garden then your neighbours cant do anything about it except keep their cat in, i would just point out that their cat doesn't mind so why do they, but on the other hand is your dog chasing the cat! you may know that your dog is only playing but your neighbour might not, i have 2 dogs and a cat they get along but my cat wouldn't like being chased by them and also my cat may get on with my dogs he certainly wouldn't like my neighbours dog visiting.

Depends on the situation really,if your dog is escaping round to there garden, then they may be getting annoyed of having your dog in there garden. Also how do you determine your dogs 'play' with the cats.It may look innocent enough to you but to the cats owners there proberly worried about the safety of there cats. When a cat runs it causes a natural prey drive for a dog to give chase aswell and if a dog can catch up,the hunting instinct can be overpowering.

If the cat enjoyed playing no,if it was frightened then yes.
Be careful-if the cat is frightened it may fight back and cats are vicious-your dog could end up losing an eye.

More fool the cat it has the opportunity to stay away
everyone says their cat is smart ..... well theirs certainly isn't
I have two great Danes and now alas only one cat but she rules the roost Now that's smart.
But she doesn't go into neighbours gardens to get attacked she just goes there to wind their dogs up (cats are like that ) Your neighbours should be grateful that your dog isn't dangerous and shouldn't go off on one tell them to get bigger fence and grow up

Strange though it may seem, cats do have a natural aversion to dogs. There is nothing in the rule book to say that they have to be mates, although if they live in the same house, they do tend to tacitly accept each other eventually.
I would suggest, however kind your dog is, that you keep them apart if you can as it is most likely that the cats will get the upper hand!

I think you should make sure they are kept apart unless you are with them or they are on leads.
Strangely enough, if they do fight seriously the dog will probably come off worst as cats can be extremely viscious.

No, but maybe their cat was attacked by a dog once or something. Or maybe they're just paranoid. I would just keep your dog away from their cat in the future so they have no complaints.
