I haven't ran with music in a while since my ipod broke, but few songs could get me pumped like the first 3 tracks off of The Curse CD from Jay-Zs the Blueprint 2. I find Addiction by Kanye West stuck in my head while I run ofter. Or stupid little childrens songs whose rhythym just fit my running

I run to house music. The beats are steady and it helps me keep pace. Plus, the songs are all like less than two minutes in length, so you are never stuck listening to the same thing for a long time.
I recommend: Richard Humpty Vission's "Shut the F*** Up and Dance". It doesn't have any profanity. The CD is like an hour long.

For a long run at daybreak - D.J. Shadow's "Midnight in a Perfect World," and The Crystal Method's "Trip Like I Do"

If you are pounding out hard intervals - The Pixies' "Debaser," Prodigy's "Firestarter" and

Eminem's "Lose Yourself" is great to have on before a race.

Try to get out without music every so often too. Sometimes it's best to just groove on reality.

I listen to the Killer's albums Hot Fuss and Sam's Town a lot...also the first 7 songs on Fergie's album. We actually have this mix that we make for cross country with a bunch of "ghetto" music on it, which we all run to...kind of weird, but the fact that it's not something we normally listen to, and this'll sound weird, but partly because it's kind of...dirty music. You know-stuff you wouldn't want your mom to hear. Whatever-we're high school runners. We're crazy.

This is a great one because the base is steady and the song is long:

Get Ready (live version) by Rare Earth.

I find it's best to get it in there about the 3-4th song you listen to. It really takes up a lot of my run and it's great!!!

I merely hear to stuff that's loud, has good guitar, etc. on the instant I listened to: back in Black - AC/DC Say this quicker - the very nearly enable it Rock - Kevin Rudolf (without the Lil Wayne section...that merely ruins the song) forget approximately and not decelerate - Relient ok Jumper - third Eye Blind

I find it better to run listening to Crystal Method or some other kind of techno. It is much easier to run to a steady rhythm or beat.
