known to be silent almost like a grave on adultery while busy attacking homsexuality. Does their action or lack thereof signify that they could be in an adulterous relationship with God?

NB. This is a genuine question. If you disagree with me you should give account of the church being so much into homosexuality but not into adultery. Then coimpare that with their relationship with their God!

Cause Evangelicals have a higher divorce than homosexuality rate, it's not good for their business

God clearly states in the Old Testament and the New Testament that we cannot serve Him and Satan.

Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods besides me.

Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Luke 16:13 No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

As for churches remaining silent on adultery, I've never seen it in my church. Only wimpy, apostate churches remain silent when their members are openly sinning.

One possibility: it is considered to be equally bad, but because it is not a legislative issue, it does not get as much political/media attention. I have sat in church, and heard about the ills of adultery (and pre-marital sex, etc.). The reason why it is perceived that Christian churches are so hot against homosexuality is that it is not actually the CHURCHES that are so hot against it, but, in fact, politicians, who need an issue to take a stand against (to differentiate themselves from those on the "other side"). Certain church leaders (Falwell, for example) also gain political power through the issue, and thus push it in their churches and organizations. Thus, the issue is one of perception, not one of actual belief.

So many contradictions in the church. There have been priests who were pedophiles. I think at the end of the day people in glass houses should not throw stones. Everybody is human after all and makes mistakes, gay people are born the way they are so why should they be made to feel evil? God made them too. I don't like the fact that they tell people not to use contraception either, so many cases of aids and they say things like that. I know sex is purely for procreation according to them but they could save so many people.

That is a very interesting thought. I disagree with you, but I believe you do have a thought that you could get some mileage out of. Write some essays etc. I have always had a problem with the people in church picking and choosing which sins are worse. Run with it.

I agree with you...the bible clearly states that adulters should be stoned in the street. The law of the lord is perfect and unchangeable and the verses that state this are just as valid as the rest of the bible. Why aren't christians in their zeal to uphold the scripture out there killing all sex offenders...even young girls who are not virgins as the bible says we should be doing. If Christians really followed the Bible, all Americans would be killed according to the laws of god.

There's only one or two little verses concerning homosexuals and dozens and dozens concerning same sex disorders...if the verses concerning homosexuals are correct and godly, so are the ones concerning adultery.

God, as described in the bible, is a HOMOCIDAL MANIAC who makes Hitler seem like an ammature!

I've been in at least three churches where people were kicked out because of adultery. It's very painful and sad. You want the churches protesting in the street about adultery? Or are you talking about divorce and remarriage?

True God (His Grace) has no servants(slaves).
Only awful lawful God has any servants(slaves).

Henceforth I call you not servants...but friends: John 15:15
Thou art no more a servant, but a son: Galatians 4:7
Not now as a servant, but above a servant: Philemon 1:16

Choose whom you'll "serve"? The choice is Law Law.
Above such Law Law is the God of all grace (no law).

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

i do not agree with this. just a week ago the pope said told the church that it should be careful when authorizing annulments. so obviously were not just focused on homos. and how can we serve two? read exodus, god says he is a jealous god. therefore we must only serve him.

Good and evil have a common source. Jehovah is a two-faced BEING. He's God onto you if you do good, and Satan onto you when you're bad.
In essence, YOU create your God in your own Image!
