How long do think it will take before we can get Windows Vista for free?

The REAL edition will not come free....
However defected or fake may be downloaded free.

Well to be serious it will not happen never; not even 40 to 50 year because when one thing is free it losses its quality, also we have seen that more than 10 years have passed since win95 but still its not free. Why do you not try some thing that is free with good quality its name is “ubuntu”. Yes ubuntu it’s a free operating system that send free CD’s to any one who request for it and free of any shipping charges. If are in other OS there are many of them which are free also try Solaris10 or Feedora.

Free from whom? Microsoft?
What makes you think it will EVER be free?
The only "free" you will get is if you win it, or somebody gives you a legal copy.
Do you really mean how long will it take for hackers to break the registration code and make it possible to activate an illegal copy? It has probably already been done...but they aren't going to tell you about it.

i have been running vista for over 6 months. i got it as a beta tester for Microsoft. they gave me full licenced copies of the 64 bit and the 32 bit versions. go to the Microsoft beta site and sign up.

umm.. if you want a free OS, use the ones that are free, like say a linux distribution eg:
Ubuntu - www.ubuntu.com/
Fedora - fedora.redhat.com/
etc.
if Microsoft wants you to buy its OS, then you should buy it, if you want to use it!
